    Transforming Charity Fundraising

The 50-50 Foundation is an ACNC registered charity that aims to transform the Australian fundraising landscape. We provide cost efficient fundraising solutions to enable charities to focus on delivering better outcomes for their causes.

By leveraging technology platforms and corporate partnerships, the 50-50 Foundation operates raffles and charitable lotteries that raise funds for charitable causes.

Since our establishment in 2012 the 50-50 Foundation has operated 300+ charity raffles and raised significant funds for 150 charities and sports foundations. We are governed by a pro-bono board and do not profit from fundraising.

The 50-50 Foundation currently operates two products.

The 50-50 Foundation is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC). We are an income exempt charitable institution and we comply with strict audit and regulatory requirements by the Australian Taxation Office.

50-50 Foundation is limited by guarantee as trustee for a charitable trust. The trustee of the charitable trust is 50-50 Foundation Limited, a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee established for the purpose of acting as the trustee of the Foundation. The trustee must comply with the law in relation to trusts in Queensland and the Directors of the trustee are required to comply with the fiduciary duties imposed by the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

The beneficiaries of the trust are charities.

The 50-50 Foundation receives generous support from both individuals and corporate organisations that enable it to continue fundraising efficiently. Since establishment in 2012, support via donations and/or pro bono services has been provided by Macquarie Group, Premium Funding, PwC, McCullough Robertson, Tabcorp (formerly Tatts Group), Bank of Queensland, Follow, Evoke Communications, Creative Intersection, Trident Property Group, Apollo Property Group and Preston Accounting.

In FY17 Tatts Group provided significant support through their Charitable Games Division via the use of technology and other resources. This was provided at zero cost to the Foundation and formed part of Tabcorp’s CSR initiatives.

In FY18 both Tatts Group and Tabcorp have provided significant support through their Charitable Games Division via the use of technology and other resources. This was provided at zero cost to the Foundation and forms part of Tabcorp’s CSR initiatives.
